Cha^teau Lale`ne is located in the heart of the Bordeaux region, 60 kms from Bordeaux city and east of the Gironde river. It's been lovingly run by the same family since 1845, as five generations of wine growers have passed along their ancestral know-how. Today, Laurent Cioci manages the domain, producing some truly excellent value reds. They come under the 'Bordeaux Supérieur' appellation, which means tighter controls and higher benchmarks, all ensuring top quality in every bottle. You can certainly taste it in this 2016. Beautiful, dark, ruby red colour, offering aromas of ripe black fruit and toast. Dense cassis with textured tannins and hints of oak. An excellent choice with your Sunday roast, steak pie and hard cheeses. Decant early.
