Château Du Pin’s 27 hectares of vines sprawl
across the gently rolling hilltops that rise
above the right bank of the Garonne River.
This optimal vineyard topography allows for
perfect sun exposure all throughout the
growing season. This is a region of abundant
sunshine, reliable warmth and a long,
extended growing season. The higher
elevation vineyards of the appellation such
as Du Pin’s feature clay-rich soils that allow
for consistent, even ripening across
vintages. This combination of exposition,
soil, and climate lead to dependable
maturity in the grapes, translating to ripe,
fruit forward, textured wines that tend to
drink remarkably well in their youth.

Tasting notes

Striking aromas of violets and dark cherry
emerge from the glass. Tight and trim on the
attack, fleshing out on the midpalate with
layers of brambly, crunchy berry and cherry
fruit. Medium bodied, with good freshness,
Château Du Pin finishes with a hint of
freshly roasted coffee on the finish, where
ripe, gentle tannins give framework to the
nicely structured finish

Food pairing

Try it with a succulent Prime Rib, dry-rub-
bed barbecue chicken or vegetarian chili.
Goes very well with strongly flavored cow
cheeses served at room temperature.
