Two Eights Classic - Cabernet Sauvignon Gold Label

This Two Eights Cabernet Sauvignon colour is rich and vibrant with ripe berry and blackcurrant fruit flavours and a touch of spice on the nose. A complex yet soft, delicate and gentle mid-palate is well balanced with fine grape and oak tannins finishing long. The Coonawarra had an ideal growing season with average temperatures and rainfall leading into the vintage.

A cool, dry January led to perfect ripening conditions and increased yield significantly also delayed the vintage by over two weeks. Despite being one of the latest vintage on record, the fruit produced was of a very high quality.

In the winery, we balance traditional winemaking methods with modern technology to guide the wine to reach its ultimate expression. Because we produce small batch wines, each of our wines is truly handcrafted from hand sorting individual grape clusters at harvest, to lot by lot fermentation decisions at crush, to the careful monitoring and countless decisions made as the wine progress in every barrel. We believe that this attention is what allows us to craft wines that offer the wine rack aromatic, textural and flavor complexities we love in a harmoniously balanced wine.

In fact, we named our wine Two Eights, to reflect the harmony that we seek and as the Mandarin symbol of wealth, fortune and good luck.
